SMU Dhamma Circle tries to be a place for understudies to learn and live through the act of care, sympathy and intelligence. As a non-partisan Buddhist society, it respects each student to go along with us in our Dhamma sharing sessions and exercises. SMU Dhamma Circle imagines being a home for all understudies and Buddhists to create skillfulness, empathy and insight through Buddhism. Mission: To be a non-partisan Buddhist society for everybody to learn, comprehend and rehearse Buddhism through the lessons of the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha. Objctives: To go about as a stage for individuals and understudies, including the individuals who are new to Buddhism, to be presented to the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha; To disperse superstitions, misguided judgments and false convictions about Buddhism; To engage individuals to create skillfulness in overseeing issues in life; To encourage widely inclusive association and assemble kinship among individuals; To advance dynamic learning of Buddha-Dhamma through connecting with and important exercises that are both instructive and recreational for its individuals; and To start as well as help any venture considered by the Executive Committee to be gainful to its individuals, the Singapore Management University (SMU) Group or Society. |
