What eligibility is required for admission in B.Ed (SE-DE) Programme offered by Bhoj University? Give me the course structure of the program and contact detail of the University as well?

Department of Special Education (DSE), Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University (MPBOU) in alliance with Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) conducts admission for various Special Education Programmes through Distance Mode.

Eligibility for Admission to the B.Ed (SE-DE) Programme
A candidate who has at least a Bachelor Degree from a recognised University in India or an equivalent degree from a recognised foreign University and one who has put in at least two years of service in any disability area is eligible for admission.

At the time of admission the applicant should submit certificate of service experience which should be issued by the Head of the Institution and countersigned by the concerned District Education Officer or an officer of equivalent rank. Weightage will be given to the length of service for admission to the course.

Course Structure
The Programme of B.Ed. Special Education in Distance Mode is consist of 15 Courses, 9Theory and 6 Practical, organized under five Groups as detailed below:

• Group A: Pedagogy Courses: There will be 4 Pedagogy Courses: Each course will consist of one Theory Paper. All 4 Courses are compulsory.

• Group B: Content –based Methodology Courses in School Subjects: There will be provision of 5 Courses out of which any two will be selected by the candidate.

• Group C: Specialisation Courses : There will be provision of specialisation in 3 Areas
- Visual, Hearing and Mental Retardation. Each area will consist of 3 Theory Papers.
The candidate will opt for any one area.

Group D: Practical Courses : There will be 4 Practical Papers, one in non-disability area and three in disability areas. The paper in the non-disability area will have 4 components: core training in teaching skill, work experience/craft training art education, psychology practical and co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

• Group E : Teaching Practice Courses : There will be two Practical Papers - one in disability area and one in non-disability area. (See Table 1)
