Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) is a conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) India, to train in the undergraduate program in mechanical engineering at the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Jamalpur.

SCRA Eligibility

The Intermediate or an equivalent examination of Board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination with first or second division

Age Limit:

Your age should be between 17 to 21 years as on 1st January

Upper age limit is relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

SCRA Exam Pattern

Part I is written examination carrying a maximum of 600 marks. P

art II is personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks

The papers in all the subjects consists of objective multiple-type questions.

There is negative marking also.

The question papers are set in English only.
