Selection procedure The selection of candidates under SSC CGL 2016 recruitment will be done in 3 Phases. To be more prompt, SSC CGL 2016 Selection Process is 3-Tier. The stages of selection are as follows. SSC CGL 2016 Tier 1: Written Examination (Objective MCQ Pattern) SSC CGL 2016 Tier 2: Main Examination (Objective MCQ Pattern) SSC CGL 2016 Tier 3: Computer Proficiency Test /Skill Test/ Document Verification Types of posts Data Entry Operator Lower Division Clerk Stenographer Junior Engineer Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam Junior Hindi Translator Assistant Grade III Posts in General, Depot, Technical and Account Cadres Exam pattern In Tier I exam of 2 hour duration, objective-type questions carrying 200 marks are asked and the paper is divided into 4 sections – General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension – each section with 50 marks. As negative marking, 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer marked by the candidates. In Tier II exam of 2 hour duration, objective-type questions carrying 600 marks are asked and the paper is divided broadly into 3 sections – Statistics, Quantitative Abilities and English Language & Comprehension, each section with 200 marks. As negative marking, 0.25 marks in Paper-II and 0.50 marks in Paper-I and Paper-III are deducted for every wrong answer. |
