SSC Grade ‘C’ Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive Exam:

Age Criteria :
Not be more than 50 years

Upper age limit:
Up to maximum of five years :
if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Castes or a
Scheduled Tribes;

Up to a maximum of three years (eight years for SC/ST):
in case of Defence Service Personnel

Part A :
Paper: (Objective Type)
(a)General Awareness
Max. marks :
100 Marks

(b)Comprehension and writing ability of English
Language
Max. marks :
100 Marks

Time for General
2 hours

Time for VH Candidates
2 hours 40

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in written examination.

PART B: Shorthand skill test in Hindi or in English (for those who qualify In the written examination)- 200 marks.

PART C: Evaluation Of Record Of Service Of Such Of The Candidates, As May Be Decided By The Commission In Their Discretion On The Basis Of Performance In Written Examination And Stenography Skill Test, Carrying A Maximum Of 100 Marks.
