The St. John's National Academy of Health Sciences is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and is recognised for the following Super Speciality courses, with the approval of the Medical Council of India and the Government of Karnataka. Super Speciality Courses DM in Cardiology DM in Endocrinology DM in Neonatology DM in Nephrology DM in Neurology DM in Gastroenterology DM in Pulmonary Medicine DM in Critical Care DM in Paediatric Nephrology DM in Surgical Oncology M.Ch in Plastic Surgery M.Ch in Paediatric Surgery M.Ch in Neuro Surgery M.Ch in Urology Eligibility for Admission Degree of Doctor of Medicine (DM) An applicant can be considered for the admission to the above course if one has passed M.D. General Medicine or its equivalent recognised degree from any University recognised by the Medical Council of India. For DM Neonatology MD Paediatric or its equivalent recognised degree in requirement. Degree of Master of Chirurgy (Mch) An applicant can be considered for the admission to the above course if one has passed M.S. General Surgery or its equivalent recognised degree from any University recognised by the Medical Council of India. Special consideration is given to alumni of St. John’s Medical College who have served in medically underserved areas and underprivileged people, recognised as such by the College. Applicants who have taken more than 2years beyond the minimum period required, to pass the Postgraduate course are ordinarily not eligible to apply for this course. For DM Critical Care, MD Medicine, MD Anaesthesia, MD Chest Medicine & MD Emergency Medicine can also apply. Selection Process There will be an Entrance Test consisting of one common written objective type paper and Interview. This paper will cover all the Postgraduate subjects. The Test will be conducted only at Bangalore. Based on the performance in the test, applicants will be called for an interview at short notice before the Selection Committee. Applicants may have to appear for a Clinical test during the interview. Applicants must come prepared to pay the fees and join the Super Speciality Course immediately thereafter.
