Re: State Bank Of Patiala Promotion Policy

The agreement on Promotion Policy from Clerical to Officer cadre under A, B and D groups was signed between SSBEA and SBI Management.

The agreement was signed by the undersigned on behalf of SBH Staff Association

Promotion Policy Group “A” “B” and “D”

GROUP – A

1) Minimum Service:

The requirement of minimum service reduced to 6 years for General category and 5 years fro SC/ST category as against 8 years with a provision for reduction to six years in the existing policy.

2) Upper age limit:

General Candidates – not exceeding 50 years and for SC/ST candidates not exceeding 55 years
The existing policy stipulates upper age limit of years for General / SC/ST category

Allocation of Marks:

In the existing policy, the ratio between written test and interview marks is 80:20.

In the revised policy the allocation is as under:

a) Written test 60 marks
b) Performance appraisal 05 marks
c) Additional Qualification viz.
JAIIB 04 marks
CAIIB 06 marks
MBA/MCA/CA/ICWA 05 marks
(even if cleared intermediate only)
d) Personal Interview 20 marks
Total 100 marks
