Re: State Reservations in NEET UG Entrance Exam

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi conducts National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) for Undergraduate students for admission to MBBS / BDS courses across the country.

NEET UG Reservation of Seats

-There will be some seats under NEET UG which will be reserved for the candidates who belong to reserved categories only.

-These seats will come under NEET UG Reservation of Seats and can be claimed ONLY after the candidates have submitted proper documents in proof of their categories.

-These documents will be verified at the admission time and in case of any discrepancy all the claims of subject shall be forfeited.

NEET UG Reservation of Seats will be for the 15% seats under the All India Quota and will be as follows:

15% for SC Candidates

7.5% for ST Candidates
27% for the NCL OBC. NCL stands for Non Creamy Layer
3% seats are horizontally reserved for the Physically Handicapped candidates with a locomotory disability between 50% to 70% under NEET UG 2013 Reservation of Seats.

NEET UG Reservation of Seats in State Medical and Dental Colleges:

-The State code of Eligibility will govern the admission under 85% State Quota Seats.

-The NEET UG Reservation of Seats in the State Colleges will follow the rules and regulations of respective state.

-The admissions in Private Medical Colleges will be as per the policies of Union / State Territory.
