Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is operating by Anna University every year for admission to PG Courses (M.E/MBA/MCA/M.Arch) Full time courses. Following are the details of this test:

Eligibility Criteria
MBA:
The applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognised university/institute.

MCA:
The applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognised university/institute. Also a candidate should have had Mathematics/Statistics at +2 level/Diploma or Graduation.

M.E./M.Tech:
The applicant should have a bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent

M.Arch/M.Plan:
The applicant should have a bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent in architecture/planning.

Commencement of Registration in Person/Registration through Internet: 01st Feb 2014

Last date of Registration in Person at Co-ordinating Centres and Registration through Internet: 18th Feb 2014

Last date Registration in Person at Chennai Centre and Receipt of Applications Registered through Internet: 20th Feb 2014

Anna University, Chennai is main conducting authority that organizes Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test for admisson in following programs :

Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

Master of Engineering (ME)

Master of Technology (M.Tech)

Master of Architecture (M.Arch)

Master of Planning (M.Plan)

Key dates

Application Form Availability 29th January 2017

Last Date to fill the Application Form 20th February 2017 (5:30 PM)

Hall Ticket Announced Date 1 or 2 weeks before the exam

Date of Entrance Exam 25th March 2017 (for MCA/MBA) and 26th March
2017 (for other courses)

Result Declaration Date April 2017

Counselling Started April/May 2017

Fee:

Applicants have to submit Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/SCA/ST Applicants ) as an application fee for any one of the programme.

Exam Pattern
The duration of the entrance exam will be 2 hours.

For each correct answer 1 mark will be given to the candidates.

For incorrect response, 1/3 mark will be deducted.

The entrance exam of MBA & MCA will be conducted on the same date but in different time.

The entrance exam of ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan will be held on separate dates.
