The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is the state-of-the-art R&D satellite of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), which also includes under its umbrella the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH),

ACTREC comprises of 2 arms –

one for basic research and another for clinical research.

The basic research building was inaugurated in March 2002 at the new site of ACTREC in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai

ACTREC, contains of the basic and clinical research wings and an educational complex, shall carry out mission-oriented research and development on cancers prevalent in the Indian subcontinent, and where there are internationally competitive opportunities, will use state-of-the-art technology in partnership with the Tata Memorial Hospital.
