The Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT) of was Tezpur University inaugurated on July 24, 1997.


This department has been recognized by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, and granted accreditations for the Post Graduate programmed.
