Default Timings Of NTSE Exam For Class 10

I want to know the timing of National Talent Search Examination NTSE Exam For Class 10 so will you tell me?

The timing of National Talent Search Examination NTSE Exam is 45 minutes for Mental Ability Test (MAT), 45 minutes for Language Test and 90 minutes for Scholastic Ability Test (SAT)

NTSE Exam Pattern

There are 3 papers in both stages –

1. Mental Ability Test (MAT),
2. Language Test and
3. Scholastic Ability Test (SAT).

Questions are in the form of multiple choices with negative marking deducting 1/3 marks.

Test No. of Questions Maximum Marks Time
Mental Ability Test (MAT) 50 50 45 minutes
Language Test 50 50 45 minutes
Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) 100 100 90 minutes

The tests are available in Asamiya, Bangla, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malyalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

However, language test is available in two languages – English & Hindi.

NTSE Syllabus -

NCERT has not prescribed NTSE syllabus 2018.

However, the questions of NTSE stage 1 exam will be based on class 9 and class 10 levels.

The questions of NTSE 2018 stage 2 exam will be based on NCERT syllabus of class 10 level only.

Candidates can refer to the syllabus of class 9 and class 10 for NTSE state level exam and they can refer to NCERT syllabus for NTSE national level exam 2018.
