The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is a bureau of the legislature of Tamil Nadu which is in charge of overseeing the enlistment of work force into the state's open administration.

It is the successor of the Madras Service Commission, which appeared under an Act of the Madras Legislature in 1929 and was the primary Provincial Public Service Commission in India.

It embraced its present name in 1970. It works under Articles 315 to 323 of Part XIV of the Constitution of India

Functions

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission releases the obligations and capacities indicated in Article 320 of the Constitution of India.
