UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) Exam

Will you please give me detail of UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) Exam???

University Grants Commission announces holding of the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 29th June 2014 (SUNDAY) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Assistant Professor both in Indian universities and colleges.

NET Eligibility –

-The candidates are required to have score 55 per cent marks in Masters Degree.
-The candidates who are in their final year of Masters programme or those whose examinations have been delayed can also apply.
-The candidates who hold PhD degree and have completed their Masters degree before September 19, 1991 shall be provided with relaxation of marks up to 5 per cent.

Important Dates

Last date for Applying Online & generation of filled Bank Challan for Fee. : Monday; May 05, 2014
Last date of submission of Fee through online generated Bank Challan, at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI). : Wednesday; May 07, 2014
Last date of taking printout of Application Form, Attendance Slip and Admit Card from UGC website: Saturday; May 10, 2014
Last date for receiving the printout of online Application Form (one copy) and Attendance Slip (one copy) at the respective Coordinating University opted by the candidate (with fee receipt & category certificate(s) ) : Thursday; May 15, 2014
