MasterCard SecureCode is a simple and secure way to pay online, adding a password to existing UBI MasterCard Debit card issued by UBI.

The Code enhances existing MasterCard account by protecting one against unauthorized use of one’s UBI Debit Card to make purchase over the internet. It’s easy to activate for existing UBI MasterCard card, and it’s free.

One can register with MasterCard SecureCode using existing UBI Debit Card. One doesn’t need to apply for a new card.

Since UBI Debit Card is protected by one’s personal password, only one can use one’s UBI Debit Card to make purchases online.

Working Process

The Code provides with the ability to attach a password to one’s existing card to protect online transactions, just like one’s PIN at an ATM. Here's how it works:

1. Select the goods or services one want from a SecureCode online store and proceed to the payment page.

2. Enter the payment details requested including UBI Debit Card number.

3. The online store connects with UBI USecure site to check whether one’s card is secured with SecureCode.

4. A SecureCode pop-up window appear on computer screen showing the merchant name, amount, date, UBI Debit Card number and the UBI welcome message.

5. One then check that the details mentioned on the page are correct, and enter your password. UBI will then confirm your identity to the merchant.

6. One’s payment is authorized, the transaction is completed as usual and order will be placed.
