The University of Delhi (UOD) popularly known as Delhi University (DU) is a public central collegiate university, situated in New Delhi, India.

The University of Delhi was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching as well as residential university by an Act of the then Central Legislative Assembly of the British India. The University was originally to be named Prince Charles University, but Rai Kedarnath, counsellor to the Chief Commissioner of Delhi as well as founder of Ramjas College, argued that if the university should fail, that would certainly antagonise the Prince. He recommended the name by which it is known today.

Campus

There are around 77 colleges associated to the University of Delhi, spread out all finished Delhi. There are two primary campusof the University: the North Campus and the South Campus.

North Campus

North Campus has the three founding colleges of the university which constituted the University of Delhi when it was established. North campus officially now has 15 colleges topographically centred on the Faculty of Arts, Science and Law which are as follows:
