The Community Involvement Program (CIP) is a comprehensive, need-based scholarship program for first-generation college students from the Stockton community who have demonstrated the potential for sustainable leadership, community awareness, and involvement



Objective :

The CIP program also offers students leadership training and opportunities preparing them to return to the community as leaders and productive citizens.

CIP maintains links with ethnic communities in Stockton, supporting their educational concerns by maintaining an active volunteer service program throughout the community.

Students must continue their volunteer service throughout college to remain qualified for the scholarship.


Requirements
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Be a first-generation college student (Neither parent/guardian has earned a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in the U.S.)
Be a Stockton resident for at least the past 3 years.
