University of Utah police academy called Department of Public Safety, they do all that is possible to build an environment that promotes a feeling of safety and security. Where at its University campus covers over 1,800 acres and supports over 30,000 students, 13,000 staff and faculty, and thousands of visitors to our three major hospitals, football stadium, sports arena, and marvelous cultural venues.


University of Utah police academy police officers patrol the campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They provide any police related services needed on campus. Our officers are fully certified Utah state police officers. University of Utah police academy is backed by a security staff of over 60 people. Their job is to protect the students, staff, faculty and visitors to campus as well as the University’s physical assets.
