UPPGMEE eligibility criteria
I want to appear in the UPPGMEE Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance exam but I have no idea about its detailed eligibility requirements. So if anyone has idea about the eligibility criteria needed for appear in the Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance exam then please tell me about this?

Uttar Pradesh Postgraduate Medical Entrance Exam (UPPGMEE) is state level medical/dental entrance exam conducted by K.G. Medical University (KGMU) for admission to as many as 450 MD/MS/Diploma seats under 50% State Quota. Eligibility Criteria Applicant who have passed their MBBS/BDS course from the State Medical Colleges of Gorakhpur, Meerut, Kanpur, Agra, Jhansi, Allahabad, Kanpur UP Rural Institute of Medical Science & Research Saifai Etawah, Medical/Dental Faculty of K.G. Medical University, Lucknow Applicant who have passed their MBBS/BDS from any of the recognized Private Medical/ Dental Colleges of UP Applicant must have completed or will be completing their Compulsory Rotatory Internship by April 30, 2016 Applicant from BHU Varanasi and AMU Aligarh are not eligible to partcipate in UPPGMEE unless they are in PMHS A candidate who has already taken admission on the basis of earlier UPPGMEE/ AIPGMEE is not eligible to appear in the UPPGMEE examination until they completes and passes the course where they presently admitted. Exam Pattern In the UPPGMEE, there will be only one paper of 3 hour duration. The examination will be conducted in English medium only. The examination shall consist of one paper of 190 MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) as follows. 90 questions Pre and Para clinical subjects. 90 questions Clinical subjects. 10 questions Comprehension There will be three sections of multiple choice questions (MCQs): -Section A.: There will be 90 questions with 4 options or choices of which one will be best suited or best response. -Section B.: There will be 90 questions with 4 options or choices of which one will be best suited or best response. -Section C.: There will be two paragraphs followed by 5 questions each based on that paragraph. Each question will have 4 alternatives of which one will be best suited or best response. Each question in Section A and B carries 1 mark. Each question in Section C carries 2 marks. There is no negative marking. Syllabus Number of questions from different subjects in the paper shall ordinarily but not necessarily as follows. MDS Course Gen. Anatomy and Histology 9 Gen. Physiology & Biochemistry 8 Gen. & Dental Pharmacology & Therapeutics 9 Gen. Pathology & Bacteriology 9 Dental Metallurgy including material used in dentistry 18 Human Dental Anatomy and Physiology with Histology 18 Oral Pathology & Microbiology 18 Operative dentistry etc. 15 Orthodontics with Preventive and Child Dentistry 15 Oral Surgery and Dental Radiology 15 Periodontics and Community Dentistry 15 Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge Prosthesis 15 General Surgery 8 General Medicine 8 Total 180 MD/MS/PG Diploma courses Subject Approximate number of questions in Section A&B Anatomy 15 Physiology 15 Biochemistry 7 Pharmacology 15 Pathology 15 Microbiology 9 Forensic Medicine 6 Community Medicine 9 Medicine 15 Psychiatry 2 Dermatology 2 TB & Respiratory disease 2 Radiology 4 Surgery 15 Anesthesia 2 Obstetrics & Gynecology 12 Pediatrics 9 Ophthalmology 9 Orthopaedics 8 Ear, Nose and Throat 9 Total 180 |
