Can you tell me being a degree holder in B Tech Computer Science; I can apply for Engineering Services Examination conducted by UPSC?

IES- Indian Engineering Service Exam is a paper-pen based, four-part government service exam directed by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of engineers in the Engineering Services of the Government of India. IES exam is conducted for recruitment of engineers in government services/sectors of railways, roadways, defence, energy and telecommunication. Any graduate engineer can apply for (ESE) Engineering Service Examination. Yes, being a degree holder in B Tech Computer Science, you can apply for Engineering Services Examination conducted by UPSC. Categories of which recruitment is made through the Examination: i. Civil Engineering ii. Mechanical Engineering iii. Electrical Engineering iv. Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering Eligibility for IES Exam:- Age:- Aspirants aged between 21 and 30 years. Educational Qualification:- - B.E. /B. Tech or passed sections A and B of the Institution Exams of the Institution of Engineers (India) or - Obtained a degree/diploma in engineering from such foreign university/college/ institution recognized by the Government of India from time to time. -Passed Graduate Membership Exam of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India); or -Passed Associate Membership Exam Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; or -Passed Graduate Membership Exam of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959. Nationality:- One must be any one of the following: A citizen of India A citizen of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. |
