Utkal University otherwise called Vani Vihar is the most seasoned college in Odisha and the seventeenth most seasoned college in India situated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It is an instructing cum-affiliating university. The present campus at Vani Vihar situated on a sprawling 399.9 section of land range in the core of Bhubaneswar. There are around 3000 understudies in the ace's specialties in the college. This is the biggest affiliating university in the nation with 267 subsidiary general schools, 15 law universities, 6 medicinal and drug store universities.

At exhibit the University has twenty-seven Post-Graduate instructing and research offices situated with in the grounds atitutions, viz. Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education, University Law College at Vani Vihar and M.S. Law College at Cuttack. The University is situated amidst the city. 5 km from air terminal, 3 km from the station. Sainik school is to its north. Mancheswar modern zone is to its east.
