The Uttarakhand Open University was established by an Act of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly in 2005 (Act No. 23 of 2005).

Its main aim is disseminating knowledge and skills through distance learning, using the flexible and innovative methods of education to ensure ‘independent learning’.

Admission Opens: August 10, 2015
I, III, V Semester and Six month programmes
Last date of admission 31-Dec-15
With late fee of Rs. 250/- 15-Jan-16
With late fee of Rs. 500/- 30 January 2016

Late fee of Rs. 2000/- will be chargeable for admissions allowed after 30 January.
Annual Programmes:

Last date of admission 31-Jan-16
With late fee of Rs. 250/- 28-Feb-16
With late fee of Rs. 500/- 31-Mar-16
Late fee of Rs. 2000/- will be chargeable for admissions allowed after 31 March.
