The Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun was built up on 27th January 2005 by Govt. of Uttarakhand through the Uttarakhand Technical University Act 2005. The Uttarakhand Technical University grounds is arranged at NH-72 Suddhowala, Dehradun. Dehradun is the State capital of Uttarakhand all around associated through Rail, Road and Air transport.

The University has been built up in a territory of 8.372 hectare and it is the main affiliating University of the state for specialized establishments. There are 8 Constituent and 132 subsidiary universities with 33,000 understudies in different courses specified underneath:

The University in its own particular grounds running M.Tech and M.Pharma Program in different controls. Aside from this University is having 8 Constituent Colleges.
