AIPVT (All India Pre Veterinary Test) is conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). This Council was founded on 21st August 1984 and since then Veterinary Council of India has been responsible for conducting the exam every year.

This Exam is conducted for the 15% of seats of the total number of the seat available in the entire country except Jammu & Kashmir. AIPVT is for admission in a 5 year course which is Bachelor in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc) & Animal Husbandry (A.H).

Eligibility for AIPVT:

Qualification:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized university of state or central with aggregate of 50% marks in the subjects of Chemistry, Physics, Biology/ Biotechnology and English.

Candidates appearing for +2 examinations 2015 from the science Stream can also apply for the AIPVT entrance test 2015.

Nationality:
Should be an Indian National except of the state of Jammu & Kashmir

Age Limit:
Minimum age limit for appearing in the AIPVT 2015 is 17 years of age whereas the maximum age limit is 25 years of age as on 31st December.


Syllabus and Exam Pattern of AIPVT:
Syllabus for the candidates applying for the AIPVT is same as the syllabus of +2 levels of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

There will be 60 questions each for Physics and Chemistry and 80 questions for Biology.

Correct answer carries 4 marks while for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted.

Total duration of the examination is 3 hours.
