Re: Want to become Scientist

As per your request I am providing you some details about how to become a scientists . hope this information is sufficient for you.

For starters it is important to you do well in your junior high and high school classes. You may not think it is important, but if you really want to be a scientist, you have to know the basics. if you are doing experiments in your classes, then you are already a scientist. You see, being a scientist simply means that you do your work using scientific methods.

Being a professor of science gives you the chance to decide which experiments you want to do. However, if you want to be a professor at a university then you need to get a doctorate degree. That degree can take between 4 and 7 years. Then you do some research for another two to three years until you find a job. So if you add it all up, it takes about 4 years for college, 5 years for a doctorate, and 3 years of post-doctorate research for a total of 12 years until you are a professor.

Following are the few steps to become a scientists in India:

Step 1: Science is a must in 10 2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects. You can take up Biology as one of your core subjects.

Step 2: You have to do your graduation in a subject of your choice and secure very good grades

Step 3: Pursue masters in the subject of your choice to further realize your dream of a scientist

Step 4: Prepare for NET (National Eligibility Test) and get your JRF (Junior Research Fellow) to start your research.

Or

Enroll in a PhD program in your university and apply for grants in institutes

Or
