Re: Waterloo Mechatronics
Ya sure buddy I will help you here to get the information about Mechatronics Engineering program conducted by University of Waterloo for there students so that you can have idea. Mechatronics engineering is the design of computer-controlled electromechanical systems. It can be viewed as 'modern mechanical engineering design' in the sense that the design of the mechanical system must be performed together with that of the electrical/electronic and computer control aspects that will comprise the complete system. Here are the specializations which come under this programs Biomechanics: Study solutions to health-care problems, birth defect prevention, medical imaging, prosthesis design, and ergonomics. Computer Engineering: Study all aspects of the computer - digital hardware to software programming. Entrepreneurship: Pursue an innovative pathway in engineering, and enrich your studies with courses in venture creation and corporate entrepreneurship. Environmental Engineering: Study pollution control, waste disposal, and health and sanitation. International Studies in Engineering: Enrich your undergraduate studies with study and/or work abroad. Life Sciences: Understand the structure and function of biological systems (choice of four sub-options)s: Molecular & Cell Biology Environmental/Ecological Science Biophysical Science Biochemical Science Management Sciences: Solve management problems using social sciences and mathematical models. Mathematics: Gain a broad background in either pure or applied mathematics. Mechatronics: Design and develop “thinking” machines and devices. Physical Sciences: Understand the basic physical sciences that lay behind many engineering applications: (choice of three sub-options): Physics Chemistry Earth & Environmental Sciences Software Engineering: Learn about the design, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale software systems. Offered jointly by the Faculties of Engineering and Mathematics. Statistics: Gain a broad background in applied statistics, including multiple regression, quality control, experimental design, and applied probability. Water Resources: Study water-supply management, waste treatment, and flood-control systems.
