The Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh, Allahabad was set up in the year 1921 at Allahabad by a demonstration of United Provinces Legislative Council. It led its first examination in 1923. This Board is one in India which, from the very begin, had received 10+2 arrangement of examination. The main open examination following 10 years instruction is High School Examination and after the 10+2 phase, there is Intermediate Examination.
