Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test (JELET) is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination board for Lateral Entry admission to 2nd Year (3rd Semester Level) of the Four Year Courses (Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Technology and Pharmacy (Except Architecture).) Eligibility Criteria : Applicants must passed Diploma examination Secure at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category). Or Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and pass XII standard with Mathematics as a subject. Exam duration : 2 Hours and 100 marks MCQ Type questions . Total questions: 100 (hundred) Paper language: English language Each questions carrying one mark. For each wrong answer 1/4 mark would be deducted. Syllabus : For Diploma holders in Engineering / Technology : Questions will be set based on the prescribed diploma syllabus on the following six subjects (1) Engineering Mathematics (2) Electrical Technology (3) Computer Applications (4) Environmental Engineering 5)Engineering Mechanics / Basic Engineering (for Printing) / Soil & Water Engg.(for Agricultural Engg. Only). (6) Strength of Materials / Printers’ Materials Science (for printing) / Farm Machinery and Power ; Food processing and post Harvest Engg. (for Agriccultural Engg.) |
