The West Bengal University of Technology came into operation formally with the suspicion of the workplace of the main Vice Chancellor on January 15, 2001 as a continuation of the declaration of THE WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY ACT, 2001, under West Bengal Act XV of 2000 go by the West Bengal Legislature. The University began its scholarly program, from July 16, 2001. The University is relentless in its twin goals: a) To fill in as a Center of Excellence in educating and research in innovation and administration territory. b) To give system of industrialization in view of learning economy.
