National Talent Search Examination (NTSE Exam) is a national level scholarship test conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for granting scholarships to the meritorious students studying in class 10th.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Only Class 10th students are eligible to write NTSE Exam paper provided one is studying in a School recognized by the government.
2. One should be below 18 years of age.
3. Previously employed students are not eligible to write NTSE paper.
4. One has never applied for class 10th exam before.
5. Open Distance Learning (ODL) Students are also eligible.

NTSE Exam Marking Scheme:

NTSE Exam (Paper 1 & Paper 2)

Stage 1
1 Mark is awarded for every correct answer.
No negative marking for the wrong answer.

Stage 2
1 Mark is awarded for every correct answer.
For every wrong answer, one-third of marks are deducted.
No negative marking for questions left unattempt.
