Will I be able to give the exam of IAS after B.SC or B.ED?

I want to become an IAS officer. Will you please tell me that will I am able to give the IAS exam after B.Sc or B.Ed exam?

Yes, you are able to give to Indian Administrative Services (IAS) exam after B.Sc or B.Ed or both. The IAS exam online required the bachelors degree in any discipline form recognized university.

Here, I am giving you some details about the IAS exam.

Eligibility criteria:

Education:

Candidate is required to hold the bachelor’s degree form recognized university in any stream.

Nationality:

A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee, or
A person of Indian origin

Age Criteria:
Candidate age should be between 21 years to 30 years

Selection procedure:

Civil Services Prelim Exam
Civil Services Mains Exam
Interview

IAS Civil Services Prelim Exam Syllabus

Paper 1 (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs.
Current events of national and international importance
History of India and Indian national movement
Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization
General science.

Paper 2 (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs.
Comprehension
Interpersonal skills including communication skills
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision making and problem solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level)
English language comprehension skills (Class X level)
