Work Profile of SBI PO
I have given the SBI PO exams and want to know in detail about the work profile of SBI PO because I have heard that work profile of this bank is slightly different from other bank. Can you please provide me details of work profile of PO officer in SBI bank?

PO (Probationary Officer) is the entry-level position where you are trained in the basic banking tasks and then you will be appointed as Assistant Manager. Basically, it is the beginner phase to get the higher designation. The SBI PO job profile is one of the most coveted and responsible job profiles, where one will work at operations, regulatory and marketing aspects. SBI PO Job Profile After joining, one is subject to a probation period of 2 years. This is like a training phase where they get to learn about various aspects of banking procedures. Some of the tasks include - Gaining practical knowledge of various banking aspects, Customer Services (which may range from passbook printing to account opening and much more), supervision of clerical work, Loan Processing, etc. During the probation period, training is given in various fields, which include - Retail (Personal) Banking, Advances, Rural Banking (Agriculture training), etc. One is sent directly to the allotted branch, a day after reporting in the regional office of the allotted circle. One gets to learn the banking procedures while working in the branch itself. Specialised training at the SBI training institutes is also conducted during the probation period. After the probation period, one needs to undergo a screening procedure, qualifying which one will be confirmed as Officer Middle Management Grade Scale-II.
