West Bengal Post Graduate Medical/Dental Admission Test (WB PG MAT) is a state level conducting entrance examination by The West Bengal University of Health Sciences for the admissions to Post Graduate Degree and Diploma medical courses at various institutes in the state of West Bengal. Courses Available M.D. in Anaesthesiology; Anatomy; Biochemistry; Community Medicine; Dermatology, Venerology and Leprosy; Forensic Medicine; General Medicine; Microbiology; Paediatrics; Pathology; Pharmacology; Physical Medicine; Physiology; Psychiatry; Radio diagnosis; Radiotherapy; Pulmonary Medicine; Tropical Medicine; Blood transfusion and Immuno-Haematology M.S. in Orthopaedics; ENT; General Surgery; Obst & Gynaecology; Opthalmology Diploma Courses in DA; DCH; DGO; DTM & H; DDVL; DCP; DLO; DPH; DMRD; DMRT; D. Ophthalmology; D.Ortho; DPM; DTCD Eligibility Criteria Open Category A: Candidate who have passed secondary or equivalent and/or, higher secondary or equivalent and MBBS from the institutions in West Bengal Open Category B: Candidate who have passed both of the examinations secondary or equivalent and higher secondary or equivalent from the institutions outside the State of West Bengal but passed MBBS from the institutions in West Bengal Open Category C: Candidate who have passed secondary or equivalent and/or higher secondary or equivalent from the institutions in the State of West Bengal but passed MBBS from outside the state of West Bengal: (a) Passed MBBS from college outside the State of West Bengal in India; (b) Passed MBBS from colleges outside India Open Category D: Candidate claiming permanent resident/domicile of West Bengal but did not pass Secondary or its equivalent and Higher Secondary or equivalent and MBBS from school and college of West Bengal (a) Passed MBBS from college outside the State of West Bengal; (b) Passed MBBS from colleges outside India Open Category E: Govt. doctors other than WBHS/WBMES/WBPHAS with MBBS degree from any University working in West Bengal in any department including Central Govt Scheme of Exam The question paper of the written test shall be set in English and shall contain 200 single best response type Multiple Choice Questions The duration of the test will be 160 minutes For each correct response, best response one mark will be awarded.
