All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS) conducts AIIMS PG 2016 national level entrance exam for admission to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes in various courses offered under Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences.

July Admission Eligibility:

You must possess a MBBS degree from a recognized university by Medical Council of India if they are seeking an admission to MD/MS programmes

For July Session:

You must have completed the required 12 Months rotating internship/practical training on or before July 30, 2016 if they are applying for AIIMS PG 2016 for July session

You must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in MBBS if he/she belongs to general category or an aggregate of 50% marks if he/she belongs to SC/ST category

AIIMS PG 2016 Exam Pattern are mentioned below:

For MD/MS:

Duration: 3 Hours (180 minutes)

Number of Questions: 200 Objective based multiple choice questions

Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response

Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response

Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus for MBBS programmes

For MDS:

Duration: 1 hours 30 minutes (90 minutes)

No. of questions: 90 Objective based multiple choice questions

Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response

Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response

Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus taught during BDS
