In year 1980, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology was set up in Chikmagalur under the Jagadguru Sri Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji, pontiff, of Sri Adichunchanagiri Maha Samsthana Math. AIT Chikmagalur is partnered to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and the direct courses is affirmed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and it is licensed by the National Board of Accredition (NBA).

Adichunchanagiri Institute of Business Management (AIBM) was set up in 2010 at Chikkamagaluru, with the endowments of respected Paramapoojya Jagadguru Padmabhushana Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji, and pushing forward under the initiative of Paramapoojya Jagadguru Sri Nirmalanandanatha Maha Swamiji, Chairman, Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust.
