Objective Key role
Employee will be primarily responsible for performing pre-matching, settlement of bond and repo trades for Asian / Euroclear market for Proprietary and private banking business.

Key task
Ensure instructions reach custodians for MLI Trading, MLPFS and various BANA local entities
Perform trades pre-matching
Perform Depot Transfers between Domestic markets and Euroclear
Monitor trade settlement with custodian / local clearing systems
Prepare trade funding figures for Treasury / instruct cash payment or receipts for daily settlement
Perform reconciliation on stock and cash and engage in breaks investigation
Follow up on outstanding fails with external counterparties (broker trades)
Ensure timely trade confirmation is sent for broker trades
Handle clients’ enquiries (external and internal)
Working with static team to set up SSI for new clients
Perform UAT testing for new processes / system enhancement
Cross train on BANA HK settlement function
Instructions approval (Senior Specialist)
Escalation and reporting to Management team (Senior Specialist)

Requirement
At least 2 years’ industry experience gained while working in a brokerage firm or investment bank is essential. The successful candidate will ideally have settlements experience in local markets / Euroclear.

Candidate must be a team player who is meticulous, receptive to change, keen and quick to learn, able to work under tight deadlines and multi-task, proactive, analytical, self-motivated and have a vision for the future development of the team and services provided.

Essential Experience/Technical Knowledge:
Understand settlement processes and able to instruct using formatted MT54X swift / Euclid instructions

Excellent communication skills and highly development interpersonal skills are essential.

Develop problem solving techniques related to reconciliation / client queries

Systems Experience:
Proficiency in MS Excel – mandatory
Proficiency in Macro – preferred but not mandatory
