UG and PG courses of Calcutta Institute of Technology are approved by AICTE and affiliated to WBUT. Diploma courses are affiliated to WBSCTE and approved by AICTE.

Admission Procedure
Admission Criteria for Bachelor in Technology
12th pass students are eligible for admission in 4(Four) year B. Tech course through Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) being conducted by state or Joint Engineering Examination (JEE).

A minimum of 50% marks is required in aggregate in PCM.
Valid WBJEE Rank/ Joint Engineering Examination (JEE) rank is compulsory both for General and Management Quota seats.

Admission Criteria for Master in Computer Applications
After completion of BCA/B.Sc courses or its equivalent applicants are eligible for the admission in 3 (three) years MCA course through JECA, being conducted by State or Joint Engineering Examination (JEE).

Admission Criteria for Master in Business Administration
After completion of Bachelor degree or its equivalent applicants are eligible for the admission in 2(Two) years MBA course through JEMAT being conducted by state or CAT/MAT.

Those who are not qualified in JEMAT, CAT, MAT, have to undergo an Admission Test conducted by the Institute. Selection of the students will be made according to merit list.
