The Biomolecular Sciences Department, Central Connecticut State University CCSU offers Biomolecular Sciences (Non-teaching), Minor program Biomolecular Sciences Minor (Non-teaching) Requirements: (20 credits) Required Courses BMS 102 Introduction to Biomolecular Science BMS 103 Introduction to Biomolecular Science Laboratory BMS 190 Introduction to Research I BMS 201 Principles of Cell and Molecular Biology BMS 290 Introduction to Research II 11 additional credits of BMS courses, as approved by the biomolecular sciences advisor. BIO 121 may be substituted for BMS 102/BMS 103 Biomolecular Sciences, B.S. CCSU’s Biomolecular Sciences major focuses on molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, and physiology and integrates the theory and practice of molecular biological research. Student-centered research is a foundation of the program. A variety of modern research lab equipment enriches class instruction and supports independent student research.
