Re: Certifications for Project Management

Project Management Institute, Inc considers Project Management Professional (PMP) as the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers.

As a PMP, one can work in virtually any industry, with any methodology and in any location.

The PMP also increases earning potential. PMP certification holders earn 17% more than the non-certified peers according to the Project Management Salary Survey—Eighth Edition.

Employers benefit also with the Certificate. When more than one-third of the project managers are PMP-certified, organizations complete more of the projects on time, on budget and meeting original goals.

The course indicates that one can speak and understand the global language of project management and connects to a community of professionals, organizations and experts worldwide.

Application

If one is an experienced project manager responsible for all aspects of project delivery, leading and directing cross-functional teams, then the PMP is the right choice for one.
