The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) speaks to the 33 authorize universities of osteopathic drug in the United States. These schools are licensed to convey direction at 48 showing areas in 31 states. Six of the universities are openly controlled, 27 are private foundations. In the 2016-17 scholastic year, universities are teaching more than 27,000 future doctors—more than 20 percent of U.S. therapeutic understudies.
