Airport Custom Officer comes under Group A class officers. The selection for this type of posts is through civil services examinations.

Eligibility to make an attempt for exam is to have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized institute.

After passing CSAT, candidate can get the post of customs officer under Indian Customs and Central Excise Services.

Eligibility needed to be an Airport Custom officer:
Candidates who have completed their graduation from a recognized institute are suitable to apply for the post.
The qualifying degree can be in any stream with at least 55% marks.

Age limit:
Candidate’s age should be between 21 years and 30 years.
Relaxation for upper age:

SC/ST -5 years
OBC- 3 years
Physically Handicapped - 10 years
The recruitment for this type of posts is through CSAT exam conducted by UPSC.

CSAT exam has 2 stages:
Preliminary
Mains
There will be 2 papers for pre exam.

Time allotted to each paper is of 2 hours.
Paper I will have questions on general knowledge and day to day affairs across the world.

Paper II contains questions on mental ability, quantitative aptitude and English Language. Candidates who pass this preliminary level exam can appear for mains exam.

In mains exam there will be a written exam and interview. There will be nine papers in written test, out of which two are of qualifying nature. The applicants who get through the written exam will be enrolled for interview round. Those who pass the interview round can get registered for training in Central Excise cadre
