Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission’s (TNPSC) conduct Village Administrative Officer VAO Exam

TNPSC VAO Exam eligibility-

Candidates must have passes S.S.L.C public examination or its equivalent

The applicants who have not passed S.S.L.C examination or its equivalent are not eligible even if they possess a higher qualification.

Knowledge of Tamil: Candidates should possess knowledge of Tamil.

Age Limit-

For SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all Castes

Minimum Age 21 Years
Maximum Age 40 Years

For “Others” [ i.e. Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s,
STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and BCMs]

Minimum Age 21 Years
Maximum Age 30 Years

TNPSC VAO Exam Pattern

Type I

The question paper will contain questions based upon the below categories:

General Studies (75 items).
Basics of Village Administration (25 items).
Aptitude & Mental Ability Test (20 items).
General Tamil (80 items).

Type II

The question paper will contain questions based upon the below category:

General Studies (75 items).
Basics of Village Administration (25 items).
Aptitude & Mental Ability Test (20 items).
General English (80 items).
