I want to know more about National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship exam here can you please get some information? Feel free I will let you know about National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship exam so that you can remember easily. NMMS Reward 100,000 scholarships will be given to the selected meritorious students of the country. The amount of scholarship is proposed to be Rs.6000 per annum @ Rs. 500 per month. Candidates will be paid the Scholarship Amount on a quarterly basis. Rs. 1500 each quarter will be transferred by SBI in Joint account of the candidate. Selection process Each State/UT will conduct their own test for selection of students but it is mandatory for students to pass both the tests i.e. MAT and SAT with at least 40% marks in each. For the reserved category, this cut off will be 32% marks. The State Level Examination may consist of the following two tests. Mental Ability Test (MAT) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) Eligibility Criteria : The awardees should get clear promotion from Class VIII to Class IX being eligible for stating the Scholarship. The Scholarship at the Secondary and Higher Secondary state or equivalent Classes IX to XII is payable for a maximum period Four years for studies in India only. No scholarship at this stage is payable for studying Diploma / Certificate level course. For continuing the scholarship in Class X and XII the awardees should get clear promotion from Class IX to X and from Class XI to Class XII in the first attempted with 55% marks (50% marks for SC / ST Students). The awardees must be obtain a minimum 60% marks in Class (55% for SC / ST Students) examination or Equivalent examination for continuation of the scholarship at Higher Secondary stage.
