Well the Gauhati University provide the 2 year MA program in the sociology

The two-year post graduate degree programme of the Department is organized into four semesters.

In each semester, a student is required to take up three compulsory and two optional courses i.e., a total of five courses per semester.

In order to complete the M.A. programme, a student will have to complete twenty courses over four semesters in two academic years.

Eligibility:

You must have done the BA from a recognized college
