How to join Crime Branch in India
How can I join Crime Branch under Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in India??? Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is a crime detection agency under the Government of India. If you wish to join the Crime Investigation Department must appear in the Indian Civil Services examination that is held by the Union Public Service Commission. Eligibility for CID Posts-- -The minimum qualification required for a candidate to join as a constable in the CID is a pass in class 12. -If one aspires to join as a Sub Inspector, he/she should have cleared graduation. -Graduation is the requirement for officer level post as well. Eligibility for Civil Services examination Nationality A candidate must be either: (a) A citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Srilanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Age Limits Must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, in the year of examination. The upper age will be relaxable for some cases Educational Qualifications You must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. Number of attempts General candidates: four attempts. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction. Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.
