Exam pattern
Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services Combined Competitive Exam consists of three stages:
Stage 1 Preliminary Examination:
It will have 2 papers of 200 marks each.
Paper-I will be of General Studies (Code No.01) and
Paper-II will be on Aptitude Test (Code No.02).

Both the papers will have 100 objective type (multiple choice) questions. Duration of the Papers will be two hours each.

Stage 2 Main (Narrative) Examination:
It will consists of subjects selected by the students.

Stage 3 Viva Voca
Candidates who qualify the Main written examination will be called for a viva-voce test. The maximum marks for the viva-voce shall be 100.

The marks obtained in the viva-voce will be added to the marks obtained in the Main written examination for purpose of selection of the candidates.
