Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is an Indian state-owned oil and natural gas company. It has about 25% marketing share in India among PSUs and a strong marketing infrastructure.

The Government of India owns 51.11% shares in HPCL and others are distributed amongst financial institutes, public and other investors. It is ranked 367th on the Fortune Global 500 list of the world's biggest corporations as of 2016.

Its Mumbai Pune Solapur Pipeline is conferred with 1st Global Innovation award for “OFC Based Pipeline Intrusion Detection System (PIDS)”by ASME Pipeline Division, USA in recognition to outstanding innovations and technological advances in the field of pipeline transportation.

• FICCI CSR Award
It was conferred with FICCI CSR Awards 2012-13 organized by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi. It is the most prestigious award recognizing the commitments of Corporate for the development of Society was conferred it in 2014. It is the only winner in the PSU category.
