Can you tell me about the eligibility required to apply for Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) course in IIM A - Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad? Also provide me its fee structure?

The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is the doctoral programme of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

It provides students with necessary skills to identify and research complex issues in the field of management. It seeks candidates with outstanding academic backgrounds, intellectual curiosity and discipline needed to make scholarly contribution.

Fees and Expenses

No tuition fee is charged for Indian students.

Selected candidates will get a monthly stipend of Rs.31, 200/- per month for the first and second year, Rs. 33,700/- per month after clearing the comprehensive exam and Rs. 37,400/- per month after submission of the TAC approved thesis proposal.

Over and above this, a Contingency Allowance of Rs. 25,000 per year (for 5 years) to cover research expenses, expenses on books, photocopying etc and reimbursement of international conference upto Rs. 1,75,000 are also available to all students.

However, the fee for overseas candidate is $ 20,500 for first year and $ 21,500 for the remaining years.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission Requirement

One must possess one of the following qualifications to apply for IIMA’s Doctoral Programme:

a)
A Masters Degree in any discipline, with minimum 55% marks, with a Bachelors degree/ equivalent qualification with minimum 50% marks obtained after a minimum of 3 years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

b)
5 year/4 year Integrated Masters Degree programme in any discipline, with minimum 55% marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent

(OR)

c)
A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS, with minimum 55% marks.

d)
A 4-year/8-semester Bachelors degree with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade point average

One must hold a Bachelors/Masters degree of any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or possess an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE.

Those in their final year of Masters or Bachelors degree (B.E / B. Tech) in any discipline can also apply.

Such candidates have to complete the requirements for the course before 30 June 2017 and produce the original certificates/mark sheets by 31 December 2017.
