Jadavpur University Admission Criteria through Lateral Entry
What are the minimum eligibility criteria for admission in Jadavpur University through Lateral Entry??? Jadavpur University offers admission through Lateral Entry. Admission through Lateral Entry Scheme shall be made strictly on the basis of merit and preference of candidates in the Common Entrance Examination for admission through Lateral Entry Scheme (i.e. JELET) conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. Eligibility criteria for admission through the Lateral Entry Scheme: For Diploma holders in Engineering & Technology: -Must have Passed Diploma Examination from an AICTE approved institution; with at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category students) in appropriate branch of Engineering /Technology For B.Sc. Degree holders: -Must have Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC with minimum 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category students) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject. -Students under this scheme shall clear the subject of Engineering Graphics /Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the 1st year Engineering Programme along with the 2nd year subjects. For Diploma holders in Pharmacy: - Must have Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from an AICTE approved institution, with minimum 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category students).
