The Master Builders Association of Victoria or MBAV was established in 1875 by a group of distinguished builder’s intent on raising standards within the industry. MBAV OHS Course Construction Induction Training (CIT) Description: Participants will be issued with the WorkSafe Construction Induction Card on successful completion of CPCCOHS1001A Work Safely in the Construction Industry. Minimum requirement and mandatory for all on building and construction worksites Duration: 6 hours plus assessment session Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety Description: Nationally accredited and fully portable to other industries Entry point for becoming an OHS supervisor or site manager in domestic or commercial sectors Duration: 6 days OR online Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety Description: Nationally accredited and fully portable to other industries Ideally suited to those in middle management such as project managers and construction managers with health and safety duties Suitable for those wanting to build on skills acquired in Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety. Duration: 8 days Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety Description: Nationally accredited and fully portable to other industries For senior managers and full time OHS professionals dealing with strategic OHS policy issues - and who have completed the Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety Duration: 10 days Construction Supervisors Course Description: Develops management, leadership and team-building skills Incorporates: Industrial Relations, Leadership, Construction Planning, Site Administration and current OHS legislation For frontline managers, construction foreman and supervisors who have completed the Construction Induction Training (CIT) course. Duration: 5 days Occupational Health and Safety (BRC) Description: This module of the Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) covers regulations and responsibilities relevant to domestic builders and hazard identification, risk assessment and safe work method statement development process.
